FAQ-Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, direct answers to the most common questions about how SupplyGuardian works and how we support overseas teams sourcing in China.

1. Are you a QC company?

Short answer: No — by design.

SupplyGuardian is not a traditional QC or inspection provider. We act as your Eyes & Ears in China, focusing on independent visibility, early risk detection, and on-the-ground presence, rather than checklist-based compliance.

Audits and inspections may be used as tools when needed — but they do not define our role.

QC checks compliance. SupplyGuardian protects decisions.

2. Are you independent from suppliers?

Yes — completely.

We work only for the buyer, never for suppliers. We do not accept commissions, kickbacks, or hidden benefits from factories. Our value exists only if we remain independent and transparent.

3. What parts of the supply chain do you get involved in?

We focus on the areas where clients usually lack visibility, such as supplier reality checks, production and execution behavior, early risk signals, and on-site coordination and follow-up. The exact involvement depends on your selected Guardian Level.

4. Do I need to visit China if I work with SupplyGuardian?

Not necessarily. Many clients rely on us to handle on-site visibility and coordination, and only visit China when their presence truly adds value. Our role is to reduce your need to be on the ground, not increase it.

5. Do you have a local team in China?

Yes. We are based in Shenzhen, at the heart of China’s manufacturing ecosystem, and act as your on-the-ground presence — visiting factories, verifying realities, and addressing issues as they arise.

6. Which types of clients benefit most from SupplyGuardian?

We work best with companies that:

  • Source regularly from China
  • Manage multiple suppliers or complex products
  • Have experienced delays, quality issues, or surprises
  • Want clearer visibility and stronger control

If your China sourcing is critical to your business, SupplyGuardian is likely a good fit.

7. How do I know which Guardian Level is right for me?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients start with Basic for occasional visibility, others choose Standard or Premium based on their exposure and complexity. We recommend starting with a conversation — we’ll suggest the most appropriate level based on your situation.
